The Last Dance In The City Of Pan

Children running down the stairs after attending their tuitions, only stopped by old clowns and funny middle aged ladies. The elders - stand around the corners, frolic around the children, make faces both disgusting and funny at the same time. Children leaving from school and finding clowns and cartoons across the school street. Boys are running and girls are dancing with a cheery smile to the tune that is been played by these clowns.

The children's parents all satisfied and a tad relieved to see their children occupied in this random bounce and song. A respite for some part of the day, slowly coming to them as they understand this play to be a children's play date commercial on the streets. Gradually, the Clown Company is known to all and all - as the ones that bring a joyous laughter on their children's faces. Gradually all the children of the city of Pan start visiting the play date house of the Clown Company.

There are toys scattered on the floor, multi colored chalk boards, cartoon stands that give water and chocolates, large colorful illustrated paintings of kids playing and dancing at exotic places, tiny waterfalls and a small stream that runs across the play house, bouncy tiles and musical tiles, light color changing rooms and nothing short of a heaven for the children of the City of Pan.

The small toddlers of the age of 5 to elders of the age of 10, all part of this play house's integrity and laughter. A date planned for a big holiday near the mountain side, which has a play house just ten times bigger than this. The children shown short movies of other children enjoying at this huge play house. The parents shown all that is needed for them to be safe and sure. A date set to leave and a date two days later, set to return to Pan.

All parents huddled in the room that is about to show the movie of their children's small trip to the mountain side play house. The cheers of women, men talking about their business and in awe of the entire arrangement. Butlers serving juice and chips across the room, with movies of other children playing and all of a sudden an announcement that they can meet their children once they see the movie. Hooting and clapping to start the movie of their wild beautiful children.

Their sweet children all un-boarding the bus and running to the play house entrance that is a huge face of Scooby Dooby Doo and the path is his mouth - all funny yet grotesque to some parents. The children running hard, some sipping water, some having chips, many falling as they run towards the gate of the play house. Their sweet children now waiting their turns to try the slides and jumping jacks and various other such children's bric-a-bracs. The movie zooming on each child's face and what they are doing in that happy moment - the women shouting at their children's enjoyment.

The dance, the big dance starts, the children all running in a circle, dancing with all the steps they know, falling and getting back up to dance again. The dance, the final dance is to start and a teacher dressed in a pale skin textured Halloween costume takes the center stage and is passionately instructing all children on syncing a dance together. Oh, how graciously their children have learnt to coordinate and dance - that their parents have forgotten where they are.

The teacher in the center using her whip to make circles in the air and various light shaped magical structures in the air, and dancing along to a beat. The children all a part of two big circles, dancing in the euphoria of the moment. The teacher taking her whip, and somehow elongating it long, very long starts whipping across the children's waist and by the time she completes a circle - all children that were dancing are fallen on the ground as two pieces of toys that a child has broken.

The blood squirting all around, the bloody tissues on the glass whip of the center teacher and the last scene where the video stops at her cunning face, with blood all over her and a smile of dirty accomplishment. The parents all confused, the smiles all dried down, whether this is a bad joke or reality? No one is sure. Then the video moves, to show all cleanly decimated bodies of innocent playful children cut out of their lives so early - that too at a play house. The parents all howling and scrambling to look for the play house staff, no one to be found, no one to be confronted.

Only the video that keeps showing their children's bloody bodies cut in half. The smile wiped off for a lifetime, from the childless city of Pan. The blood drawn from its innocence and such a bludgeoning of its heart - that no one will ever see the face of this deprived city again.
